Work for the Feds?
Combined Federal Campaign
Do you work for the federal government? Know someone who does? Listen up. This is a great way to support us all year round.

The Humane Society of Yuma has joined the Combined Federal Campaign.  The Combined Federal Campaign of Arizona allows federal employees, from postal workers to members of our military, to sign up for payroll deductions to the participating charity of their choice.

Two videos lead to two saved lives

Last Tuesday, Director of Development Erin Sitera was Polly's last hope.  Determined to find her a home, Erin made a YouTube video featuring Polly and took her home to foster for the night.  The very next day, a family who had been alerted to Polly by a friend and fan of our Facebook page came in to give Polly her forever home.

In last week's ePaws, we featured a video on Buddy, a cruelty survivor who was being fostered by our Animal Control Sargent Aaron Acton.  On Wednesday, the same day that Polly was adopted, Buddy also found a forever home.

Watch all four videos.

Zumba for the Humane Society of Yumba

"Ditch the workout. Join the Party!" That's the tagline for Zumba, an exercise program that "hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away."

Weather

Thank you to those who came by in the wake of Thursday's storm and helped us out.  While no animals were ever in imminent danger, our old shelter was battered pretty hard.

Thanks also goes out to area boarders who opened up their kennels at reduced rates to assist families temporarily unable to contain their dogs due to power outage or storm damage.
