Hello!
We've had a makeover! After listening to your feedback we decided to make a few changes to Reach Out. The first, most obvious, change is the new streamlined look which we hope you will find easier on the eye. We have also decided to send out the email version of Reach Out every two weeks instead of every week and combine it with Your City, Your Voice, the monthly policy newsletter.
In this issue you will find an invitation to our AGM on 14 September together with an invitation to meet with Andy Burnham MP, Shadow Minister for Health, next Thursday to talk about issues affecting voluntary and community groups.
If you have any news, information or events that you would like to share with the voluntary and community sector in Derby, please let us know.
Don't forget that you can now follow us on Twitter - just type DerbyCA into the search box. Visit the Twitter website to get started!
Best wishes,
Jayne Williams

Let Nature Feed Your Senses
Let Nature Feed Your Senses is about increasing the opportunities for specific groups of people to get out into the countryside and experience nature through farm visits and activities; helping to improve health and well-being and at the same time learning more about farming and its relationship with nature in today's world.
The farm visits are aimed at older people; young people; disabled people and people or community groups in areas of multiple deprivation.
The initiative is being run by the Sensory Trust as part of a 3 year project funded through Natural England's Access to Nature grant.
Highfields Happy Hens at Etwall, just outside Derby are offering the FREE farm visits in the Derby area. For more information or to book a visit go to the Let Nature Feed Your Senses website. |
