Online Disability Toolkit
Derbyshire Disability Action Network (DDAN) is a Big Lottery funded project that aims to raise the importance of disability issues with voluntary and charitable organisations in Derbyshire.

One of their objectives is to produce a web based disability resource tool kit to support voluntary and community groups in raising standards for disabled people in both service provision and employment. They are keen to engage frontline organisations in the design and content of the toolkit and to include locally developed material or examples of good practice. The content of the toolkit will include:

An overview of disability issues including current and forthcoming policy, current challenges and definitions/range of disabilities;
practical tools to help organisations better support disabled people they work with, whether as a volunteer, staff member or service user;
links to other organisations for advice, support and training; and
case examples of how organisations have incorporated issues of disability into their work.

If you have any examples of useful resources to include in the toolkit or for more information email Linda Garnett or call 07972516864.
