This week we have training courses for volunteer walk leaders and workshops for advice on energy-related topics; we also have news of lots of fun activities to celebrate National Family Week at the end of May. Thanks to Family Action for those dates.
We want to hear about any news, advice, events and opportunities that could benefit other voluntary and community groups. Click here to contact me. |

Racing for a Cure
Derby CVS ladies past and present did their bit to beat cancer last Sunday by taking part in the Race for Life in Darley Park. It was a beautiful day and around 3,500 women walked, or ran around the 5 km or 3 mile course. Susannah, Jo, Monica, Ann, Liz and Carol raised in excess of £400, whilst Jayne raised around £70 on the previous day. The team were joined by Pam, who did the course as moral support but is raising money for other worthy causes this year. Thank you all for your sponsorship: together we will beat cancer.
