RINGERS IN COLLEGE
SPRING TRAINING SCHOOL

January/2010
Ringers,

I hope the New Year has started out well for you.  Like most wrestlers, you probably have wrestling goals to reach while others have New Year's resolutions.  Here are a few reminders to help you reach your goals.
Stay on path
Once you set your goal, it is important to do the day to day activities that will get you to your end goal.  Whether you take a tough loss, get injured, have trouble keeping weight, or even if you don't get challenged in matches, you need to use your goal to keep you on track.
Stay on task
Make sure you get the most out of your school practices and your Ringers practices.  Also, continue with your lifting, rehab you injuries, eat right, and but most of all keep a positive attitude.  Many will start falling apart this time of year due to the pressure, and keeping a positive attitude is the best way to combat this.
Don't think past your goal
Spring wrestling may look inviting, but sometimes it causes people to look past job 1- to reach your Winter season goals.  Just as the best takedown is the one that is there, the style you are wrestling needs to be your favorite.  Spring wrestling will be there, but make sure it is after a strong finish to your Winter season.
