Our Holiday Toy Drive was a Huge Success!

Many community members made generous contributions to the Community Chest sponsored toy drive at the Parade of Giving in Concord Center on December 5th.  The gifts were distributed to

Concord Community Outreach, Minuteman Arc, Emerson Pediatric Intervention, and Open Table and made the holidays a little happier for many local families.
Thank You!!

Dear Community Chest Friends,

Happy New Year!!

The Community Chest has been busy over the past several months supporting the 35 human services agencies we serve in many ways.  In October, we facilitated a well-attended, free seminar to educate the agencies about the advantages of online marketing and internet presence.  We believe that this type of support, in addition to the financial support that we provide, is extremely valuable to the agencies we serve.

We enter 2012 with the knowledge that, in these challenging economic times, these local agencies need our help more now than ever.  Our annual campaign is well underway, having raised approximately 70% of our $650,000 goal.  We realize that it is a true community effort to help our neighbors in need and encourage you to contribute whatever amount you can.

The Community Chest is excited to commence its annual allocations process.  Beginning February 1, our team of 35 community volunteers will visit our applicant agencies to determine funding recommendations for the coming year.

We anticipate an busy 2012 and look forward to the opportunity to help our neighbors in need.

Sincerely,

Astrid Williams, Cynthia Wood and Christine Kielar
