• It's Operation Christmas Child Collection Week. You can bring your shoeboxes by the church's Relay Center from 9-5 daily. If you find that your shoebox is too stuffed, remember that items can be removed from the packaging to make sure everything fits. Or you can choose to make 2 boxes! Please remember to pray for each child that will be receiving your shoebox. You have one more week to bring in your filled shoeboxes! Last day to bring them in is Monday, November 21.

• You are Invited to a Special GriefShare - "Surviving the Holidays" that will be held this Tuesday, November 15 @ 6:30pm in the Conference Room.  

• FYI - The movie "Courageous" has come to the Hitching Post Theaters. If you haven't heard about this movie, here's a little synopsis:   "Honor Begins at Home - Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, David Thomson, and Shane Fuller are confident and focused. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood. While they consistently give their best on the job, good enough seems to be all they can muster as dads. But they're quickly discovering that their standard is missing the mark. When tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God ... and to their children?  Protecting the streets is second nature to these men. Raising their children in a God-honoring way? That's courageous.

• Clothing and Baby Gear Lending Closet We are all set to start accepting donations for the lending closet! Country Oaks Church can help by making donations of children's clothing (boys and girls) birth to size 10; any kind of baby gear - swings, highchair, playpen, baby play-mats, etc -- but no car seats or cribs at this time; baby blankets and bedding; maternity clothing; and large Rubbermaid storage tubs. Call Karen Whitten at 821-0804 to donate. She can pick-up or you can drop off items to her. Anyone who wishes to borrow clothing can also call Karen to set up a time to "shop". Our 'stock' is somewhat limited at this time, but hopefully we can find a way to help! 

 It's time to start thinking about Christmas!
