Understanding and Overcoming Temptations
I think everyone understands the concept of temptation, but this month, I want to talk about how it prevents you from creating the future you wish to experience.
But first, I would like to introduce my new temptation bodyguard. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I hope you click on this video and understand where I am coming from in this month's newsletter:
 | My New Bodyguard for Temptations | When we think of temptation, we probably think of the religious theory which was created by the Catholic church. A second thought might be Dante's Inferno, a book written in the 14th century about what is like to go to hell.
Neither of these are my thoughts, but I do acknowledge that wisdom is wisdom, no matter who says it. This is a process of spiritual enlightenment, the first step of spiritual evolution, meaning you keep your mind open and take in all information. The universe creates your environment based on data. Knowledge is data. A closed mind, or a mind not in motion of learning, will find evolving a slower process.
I use the word temptation, because people are familiar with the concept. And that tends to be about as much attention as we give it. This act in itself contributes to its power. One of the temptations is sloth, or "to do nothing." If the universe needs data (in the form of energy) from you, and you need knowledge and application of data to create your future, the power of doing nothing becomes too easy for us to overlook.
Or worse, realize what is happening, and ignore it.
The next time temptation is whispering in your ear, and telling you (or giving you an excuse) not to invest energy in creating the future you wish to experience, feel free to harness the energy of my new bodyguard. No matter what temptation says, under the universal law of free will, it is your choice to create your own future.
From the viewpoint of harnessing the power of the light, temptation is nothing more than a bully, looking to prey on souls when they are weak or indifferent. It has to exist, or we would all evolve without challenge. And like the energy of the light, the more you use, the more you get.
It's a yin-yang thing.
I am sure you have one very specific instance where you can say, "temptation has me on this." It could be working out, dieting, really anything that takes you away from where you want to be.
Given that this is the beginning of Memorial Day weekend, in addition to remember the souls which sacrificed themselves for our freedom, we can select this one temptation and return their charitable energy by dedicating this weekend to overcoming this bully with the energy of a bodyguard. I wish you the best in your efforts.
Love and light, Jordan Canon
