One of the things we all have in common is that we realize there is a higher spiritual evolution available for us, and we want to find a way to eventually attain a higher version of ourselves. Most of the email that came in this week had to do with
Spiritual Astrology and relationship compatibility. Judgment of others was a common theme.
Judgment is a common human practice. We will love our children, the moment they are born, unconditionally. Love in all of our other relationships is conditional love, meaning the volume and intensity of human love is based on a set of conditions. When we put a value on these conditions, we are judging their importance to us.
"In the moment we judge other souls, we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves."-Buddha
I prefer to teach the same concept through the
7 Deadly Sins of Temptation. Judgment is a process we use which falls under the category of Pride:
"Pride
is excessive and unrealistic self value, also known as ego. It is
defined as perverted "self-love" which leads towards hateful attitudes
towards others considered "lower" than you." When we judge others, we are creating a scalable ranking process that converts personality traits into a measurable unit of value. These values determine the amount and intensity of love we are willing to give, totally based on the concept that we can never be in the situation of giving more love than we get.
Hmmm....now that doesn't sound like we are harnessing too much power of the light. This is a perfect example of how Temptation takes you from the light. For those of you into religion, Pride is what caused Lucifer himself to fall from heaven and become Satin as he believed he was better than man and God.
Harness the Right Kind of Power
Here is the spiritual goal I set for myself, and it's a pretty simple fix: Just accept everyone as they are, for what they are, and for who they are. As is the case with all spiritual evolution, it is easier to be spiritual than it is to become spiritual. The first step is to be
Spiritually Aware when you are being judgmental.
Judgment is human nature, but as I said in the opening of this article, we are all spiritually connected here because we realize there is a higher spiritual evolution available for us, and we want to find a way to eventually attain a higher version of ourselves.
This is why the judgments we make every day are more important than Judgment Day itself. They eventually become the same thing.
