Greetings!

It has been a very busy October here in Boston! This month, we held a successful event in Beverly Hills, are currently sending out the 2010 Annual report, and our team just returned from our 155th placement.
We here at the Monkey College would like to wish everyone a safe, happy, and warm Halloween! Our thoughts go out to everyone affected by the winter storm this weekend. While our building remains with heat and power, we are thinking about those who are still without.
If you are going out tonight to celebrate, remember to make sure to wear bright, reflective costumes to make sure drivers and others can spot you in the darkness. If you are riding a bicycle, scooter, or motorcycle - wear a helmet.

Meet a Monkey
| | Albert Albert is a funny, smart, quirky monkey who is back at The Monkey College temporarily while his recipient, Jon, recovers from some health issues in Colorado. This allows Jon's family to concentrate on his medical needs, and gives Albert and his former trainer a great opportunity to brush up on any tasks that may need reviewing, and to catch up on some grooming sessions together! Our monkeys and their lifetime support-whether medical, travel, or equipment replacement- are provided to our recipients at no cost. Albert's favorite things in life are playing with shoes (he has quite the collection) and sucking on the end of his tail while he's relaxing with Jon and other friends. He is quite the vocalist and greets his favorite people with shrieks of pleasure. Everyone at The Monkey College was thrilled to have the chance to see our old friend, and we're pleased to share the news that Jon is recovering quickly and Albert will be headed back to Colorado for the Holidays! |
| 2010 Annual Report Now Available | | We are pleased to share with you the impact your support has made through organizational highlights, recipient stories, volunteer efforts, and news from The Monkey College in our 2010 Annual Report, which is currently in the process of being sent out! From all of us here at Helping Hands - thank you to our supporters and friends for your generosity, advocacy, and interest in sharing in our recipients' and monkey helpers' futures.
