Featured Opportunity: KidsCare II Open Enrollment

 

KidsCare II enrollment is now open to new applications from uninsured children. From now through December 31, 2013, families can register to receive comprehensive health coverage from visits to the doctor, the dentist and for hospitalizations.

Families qualify if their income is below 175% of the federal poverty level.

Featured Resource: Story Time Castle at the Tempe Public Library  

The Tempe Public Library offers three different story times where children and their parents can enjoy  listening to fun stories, singing songs, dancing and doing crafts.

Family Story Time (children ages 0-3) is offered on August 25, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Baby Story Time (children ages 0-2) is offered on September 4, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Preschool Story Time (children ages 2-5) is offered on September 4, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Saturday Story Time, held the last Saturday of every month, is the place for families to come and learn  together!

Tempe Youth Free Transit Pass Program
 
Register to receive new transit passes to ride all Valley Metro bus routes and the Metro light rail for  free. 
 
To register, visit the Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Road from August 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
 
A parent or guardian must accompany the youth and bring the youth's birth certificate along with proof of Tempe residency when registering for the program. 
 
Free passes are also available at the Tempe Transit Store, 200 E. Fifth Street, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. 
 
Passes are valid from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013.
