Tempe Community Helps Children Prepare for Success

Teen Resource Center
Tempe Teen Resource CenterThe new Teen Resource Center (TRC) is now open inside the Evans/Compadre Academy at 4525 S. College Avenue in Tempe. Currently hours are limited by the number of volunteers available to staff the TRC. If you think you would enjoy helping teens access clothing, shoes, hygiene items and other necessities so they can concentrate on learning then this volunteer position might suit you. Other positions including donation pick-up and sorting are available. Call Lynette Stonefeld @ 480.858.2316 to donate time or treasure.

Supplies 4 Students
TCC continues to accept donations for Supplies-4-Students at their office at 34 East 7th Street, Building A. The initial drive provided backpacks and school supplies to 283 students in the three school districts that serve Tempe. With tough economic conditions, many families find themselves struggling to provide the basics. Community support is critical to helping children from struggling families have the tools they need to succeed.
