November is National Adoption Month. Though reunification is always the goal, about half of our kiddos are adopted by their Angels families. Ten adoptions have been completed so far this year!

Congratulations to the wonderful Angels family who adopted Nevaeh! She's a little cutie who spends her mornings making mudpies and her afternoons playing dress-up. Her Angels mommy is so glad to have a girly-girl after four boys.

Rachel Zahn, MD (you know her as Dr. Mama) has officially joined our Angels staff as Assistant Director. We're all excited about her expanded role and look forward to popping into her office to take advantage of all Dr. Mama's advice.

Rachel has been replaced on our Board by Susan Wintersteen. She's the dynamo responsible for organizing the Chelsea's Light events in the wake of the Chelsea King tragedy. We're excited to have her energy on the team.

With new changes and new growth we have added 2 new social workers, Emma Lebica and Michelle Heater, to help care for our Angels babies and families. They have jumped right in and are getting acquainted with babies and parents all over the county.
