 Dear Angels Friend:
This holiday season please consider the most vulnerable members of our society - the abandoned and abused babies of San Diego County. At this time of the year, many people buy toys for little ones they don't know, or donate food to local food drives. Here at Angels we hope you'll also consider a financial donation to change a baby's life. Angels Foster Family Network recruits quality foster families to provide maximum emotional, social and intellectual development of each child. Your gift of any amount provides the gift of a loving, committed family to babies who have been abused, abandoned and/or neglected. What better gift can you give? Click here to donate now. The babies need your help more now then ever. Very best regards,
Monica A. Schrader Executive Director

Ask Dr. Mommy |

Dr. Mommy is better known as Rachel Zahn, MD, a pediatrician and local mom of three kids, ages 20, 18, and 14. All three were born during her medical training, earning her the title. Rachel is also one of our newest Angels Board members. She attended our annual luncheon last year and says "I was so impressed with the organization, and so moved by the kids and their stories that I had to offer to help. The more I learn about Angels, the more passionate I become about our goals." Angels wants to give you the opportunity to send in your questions and have them answered by Dr. Mommy.
Please read Dr. Mommy's question:
I am a single mom with a beautiful 6 month old foster baby I hope very much to adopt. My little girl has been with me since she was 2 weeks old and we are both truly blessed! My question is about bath time. When she came to me I began bathing her in one of those small plastic tubs you place on the counter top with a few inches of water. As she's gotten bigger and can sit, we've graduated to the kitchen sink (well-scrubbed, of course) about 1/3 full. She loves to splash around, and a few rubber toys make bath time super fun. But my question is this: A neighbor who has a little girl a few months older recently told me I'm making a mistake. She says little girls shouldn't sit in the bath because they might get a bladder infection. Is this true? I'd hate to give up our bath play, but I certainly don't want to harm my precious baby girl! What to do?

| Babies in Loving Homes for the Holidays |
One of Angels top priorities is to ensure stability for the infants and toddlers placed in our foster homes. Often times foster children are bounced from foster home to foster home, having no stability during their stay in the foster care system.
Angels foster families make a commitment, for which we are so appreciative of, to keep their Angels foster baby until permanency is determined. We would like to take a minute to reflect on a handful of Angels babies who were all placed during the holiday season who still remain in their Angels foster home. Dixie, now 24 months old, is in the process of being adopted by her Angels foster family Tommy, now 25 months old, is in the process of being adopted by his Angels foster family Nina, now 14 months old, her Mom and Dad are still attempting to reunify Danny, now 17 months old, will be placed back with his Mom in the next few months All these Angels babies will have yet another holiday season in a safe and loving Angels foster home.
