SEPTEMBER IS BURGUNDY MONTH AT VINESTONE
The region of Burgundy is to wine what Shakespeare is to the English language. Though difficult to access and understand, the effort rewards the adventurous with tremendous depth, complexity and beauty. Known for subtlety over power, elegance over force, delicacy over weight, Burgundy drinking is a life-long exploration and challenge.
But good Burgundy at good prices isn't easy to find, so we've spent the last two years slowly sourcing, even trickling in, what we feel are great examples of great wines at great prices until finally, we now have an eclectic selection of individual wines.
These wines are meant for the table, to be given some attention during their consumption, shared among friends and like-minded, wine-loving family.

Fall 2009 Class Schedule
Saturday, September 12 Forgotten France $55~
Some famous French
regions became so due to their proximity to a port rather than their
inherent quality. Those in the hinterlands, though of equal or greater
quality, often got looked over. Tonight we taste some of the lesser
known regions and see just what we are missing!
Saturday, October 10 Whiskey Night $59~ Countries the world
over produce their version of distilled grain. From Irish to Scotch to
American to Welsh to Canadian to Japanese, someone's doin' it
somewhere. Come taste the range and learn what makes each unique!
Saturday, October 17 How the Greeks Do It $55~ In recent
times, a handful of Greek winemakers have gained international
experience as well as modern technology. With a country full of
indigenous grape varieties found nowhere else, and a vast range of
climates and soils, the new wave is turning out wines of individual
character and singular quality. Vinestone has the broadest and best
selection of wines from Greece found anywhere in the country.
Saturday, November 14 America-Australia Showdown $55~ In a
blind tasting varietal comparison, tonight we compare the best of both
countries. If you like 'em big, bold and full of expression, you won't
want to miss this one!
Saturday, November 28 Port Night $59~ On a chilly November
evening, what better way to stay warm than with the great, full, sweet
red wine of Portugal's Douro Valley? On this night we taste and compare
the different styles and quality levels.
