Sending Tons of Love to Cameroon
Welcome to Ubuntu, an occasional email highlighting both the common mission of the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area and the mission taking place within PTCA congregations. In this issue we focus on the efforts of First Presbyterian in White Bear Lake, MN to donate a bus to help schoolchildren in the African nation of Cameroon.

First Presbyterian Church in White Bear Lake and Achu Ade, one of our members, worked together to get a 35 person School Bus to Cameroon. The goal was to have the bus available for the start of the school year, Fall 2011. Achu's wife, Josephine, taught school for many years at the Virtue Bilingual Primary School in Douala Cameroon. Achu Ade purchased the School Bus, donated it to First Presbyterian Church and put the Bill of Sale and the Title in the name of the church. Achu also paid the shipping fees for the transfer of the bus to the school in Cameroon. The FPC Church & Society Committee was very supportive of this donation. The School bus did ultimately arrive at to the school in December, 2011.
The School Bus is the only big yellow school bus in the country of Cameroon. The Virtue Bilingual Primary and Nursery School is very proud of the bus as are the children. When the bus arrived everyone wanted to touch it. They had seen photographs of school buses but had never seen a bus in person.
