| The Presbytery office will be closed on Friday, November 18 as we begin the process of moving back to our newly remodeled offices in suite 508 of the Minnesota Church Center. We will reopen on Monday, November 21 at 8:30am.

|  December 28, 2011 1:30-8:00PM North Como Presbyterian Church Roseville, MN The Committee on Preparation for Ministry (CPM) is hosting a one day seminar for individuals exploring a sense of call to Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA). This seminar provides a structured way of meeting with and orienting seekers to the opportunities, challenges and responsibilities that lie ahead should they pursue a formal relationship with the CPM. If you are a pastor or church member who has been in conversation with a member of your church who has expressed an interest in becoming a Teaching Elder, or if you know of someone in your congregation that you believe may have gifts and skills for ministry as a Teaching Elder, please share this invitation with them and encourage them to register for this seminar. | At the November 8, 2012 Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area, the 2012 Budget was approved, meaning we can now announce the 2012 Per Capita for PTCA Congregations. The 2012 Per Capita is $31.63.

Church of Change: WCCO-TV in the Twin Cities recently highlighted Kwanzaa Community Presbyterian in Minneapolis. The church sold the stained glass windows that frame the sanctuary of their Emerson Avenue campus which was once the home of Highland Park Presbyterian Church for decades until the congregation closed in 1998. The sale will go to fund the Northside Women's Space a ministry that will help women involved in the sex trade in North Minneapolis. Northside Women's Space will be housed in the Emerson building. Don't Forget to File a Report! It's the end of the year, which means it's time to fill out congregational reports. The following forms are due January 31, 2012: the Necrology Form, Members of Session Form, Presbytery Commissioners Form, Current Clerk of Session Form and Terms of Call Form. All the forms can be filled out online and are available at the Presbytery's Form page.
Attention At-Large and Retired Pastors: It's time to fill out the annual Non-Parish Clergy Annual Report. This year, there are two different forms to fill depending on your status: a form for honorably retired teaching elders and one for those teaching elders who are at-large. You can fill out either form online by clicking here. The deadline to file a report is December 31, 2011.
Galloway and Street-Stewart to be Honored: On November 17, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., the Rev. Alika Galloway, co-pastor of Kwanzaa Community Church, and Elder Elona Street-Stewart (a member of Dayton Avenue Presbyterian in St. Paul), Racial Ethnic Ministries Coordinator of our Synod, will be honored along with other distinguished women of faith, including the Rev. Sarah Campbell, Dorothea Burns, Rabbi Amy Eilberg, Dr. Josie Robinson Johnson, and Dr. Fatma Reda. Read more...
Remembering Bob Boehlke: A memorial service celebrating the life of honorably retired teaching elder Bob Boehlke, who died on November 11 after a brief illness. The service will be held on Saturday, November 19 at 1:30pm at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian in Minneapolis. Check the Bryn Mawr website for more details.
