Greetings!

This is Craig Sutton with FishingNosara.com!

I am happy to report that the rains never showed and we are still fishing. While most of the boats are on the hill, the Master Captain Vibert Blanche is still taking clients out and filling the Cabo's fishboxes. The lucky clients who have gone out this past month have really been scoring.

Also, our new 32-footer the Wanderer made it to Guiones without a scratch. She gets her motors on the 10th of November and will hopefully be launched on the 12th.

We are looking forward to welcoming our first group of the new season, Sig Michelson and his crew on the 3rd of November and they will be wasting no time testing the Tico waters. If your group is planning on coming down to fish with us you need to reserve your dates now. Many of the best dates and boats are already booked, and it looks like we are going to be very busy next year.

Finally, we've teamed up with the USO to offer special pricing to all returning veterens. Everyone needs to say a special thanks to all the servicemen and women that defend our country. They need our support, and also wouldn't mind some awesome days on the water.

 Tight lines and Pura Vida!

Captain Vibert had an amazing month for his clients and it appears that he may squeeze in a few more trips before the end of the season. On September 23rd Captain Vibert and the crew of the Cabo welcomed Jesse Casagrande for a half-day of fishing. They had lots of action and managed to land six 10lbs. Cabrillas and a sleek 15lbs. Dorado.

Client Travis Globs was aboard on September 25th and had a banner day. Once again the waters were bubbling with activity, and Travis filled up the fishbox with a 12lbs. Black tuna, a 12lbs. Rainbow runner, and two 20lbs. Dorados. As usual Captain Vibert put his client onto a variety of fish and had the right tackle to bring 'em home.

On September 27th Captain Vibert loaded up some staff members from Nosara Paradise Rentals for a day on the blue water. Javier, Manuel, Maria, Ingrid, Audrey and Freeman caught a wide variety of species in a short amount of time. By days' end they had a 20lbs. Organon, a 10lbs. Ceda snapper, one 8lbs. Cabrilla, a 4lbs. Gelguera, a 10lbs. Black tuna, and a 3lbs. Slate fish.

Most recently Captain Vibert welcomed client John for two days of fishing on October 13th and 14th.

The first day brought John and Captain Vibert tons of bites, and they reeled in five Dorado ranging from 20lbs. to 30lbs. They also grabbed four 10lbs. Black tunas and five 8lbs. Cobias.

The second day they loaded up to go hunt the big boys out in the deep water. The first hit was a small black tuna weighing around 10lbs.

Once the sun got overhead, the flashes of turquoise and gold came up from the deep; the telltale sign of a Dorado frenzy. One line popped off, then another. As fast as Vibert Jr. could boat one fish, another fish was on! By the end of the bite they had boated five Dorado ranging from 20lbs. to 40lbs.

They weren't quite done yet. With the crew dialed in and the weather cooporating, John went looking for the billfish. A few sailfish were sniffing the bait and Vibert showed the patience that 30 years on the water imparts. Finally one of the big sailfish hit hard! John belted up and engaged the fish in a spirited half-hour duel. He brought it into the boat where the crew estimated a weight of well over 100lbs!

Captain Eduardo Carillo has grown quite a reputation as the most aggressive and productive charter captain in the area. While other captains are packing it in for the season, Eduardo has been leading one fantastic trip after another.

On September 26th client Fred went out with Captain Eduardo on Nice n Tight for a half-day in the morning. In just a few hours he caught six 10lbs. Black tuna. After wishing Fred a pleasant afternoon, Captain Eduardo loaded up Ted and Henry to go deep water fishing.

On his second charter of the day, Captain Eduardo and his clients pulled in 10lbs. Yellowfin tuna and a 25lbs. Dorado.

Watching the lines pop off against the perfect backdrop of azure waters and crisp green coastline must have gotten Henry excited, because he immediately booked up for the following day.

Henry kept up the good fishing on September 27th. They parked on a tuna bite and pulled in eleven Black tunas ranging from 10lbs. to 12lbs.

Most recently Captain Eduardo was joined by David and Alex; Alex is the newest member of the FishingNosara.com team, and David has been tapped by Nosara Paradise Rentals to lead our River Safari Tours. Alex and David make up the support crew of the Wanderer, and we are looking forward to having their expierience on board.

Their combined fishing experience brought in an incredible haul. First off they caught a 12lbs. Spanish mackerel, a 10lbs. Yellowfin tuna, and three 7lbs. Black tuna. Then topped off the fishbox with five big Dorado weighing between 20lbs. and 30lbs.

Wanderer Update

After eight months of sweat, stress, deliberation, frustration, aggravation, sleepless nights, seven-day work weeks, dozens of trips to boat/metal/woodworking/tool and die/machine shops, twelve tubes of 5200, six ruined drill bits, a few hundred pages of Customs paperwork, and a 3,000 mile boat ride...the Wanderer arrived safe and sound in Nosara in early October.

The team is currently rigging the tackle, shaking down all the systems, and preparing to install motors. We are aiming to have a fish-on around the second week of November.

Trips on the Wanderer are being reserved left and right, so hurry up and book your trip today!
