We thank our parents for a 70% participation rate and for being so generous with our annual fund this year!

Gateway depends on you to meet our budget each year and every contribution no matter the size is important to us and very appreciated.

If you would like to join us to help us plan next year's annual fund, please email Tina McGovern, Director of Development tmcgovern@gatewayhigh.org or call Tina at 415-749-3600 x 19.

Spanish/Mandarin speakers especially welcome!
*** SENIOR PARENTS ***
4 WEEKS UNTIL GRADUATION!

Recently you were sent a letter (May 9th) that outlined your student's graduation status.  It answers the following questions:

Is your student on track to graduate on time?

Is your student in danger of failing a class or two which will put them in danger of not graduating?  If yes, Contact Teachers ASAP!

Also, if there is an application for SFUSD summer school attached, please complete and return ASAP!

Any questions you can contact Ms. Grimes: agrimes@gatewayhigh.org
Does you student owe any fees?  If yes, contact Mr. Barringer - tbarringer@gatewayhigh.org

Does your student owe documentation on PE and Community Service hours? *
If yes, you must contact Joe Killmaier for PE hours, jkillmaier@gatewayhigh.org
and Joyce McMinn for Community Service hours, jmcminn@gatewayhigh.org

The mailing also has a flyer with important dates and facts about the up and coming events revolving around graduation.

Please read carefully and act on anything that needs to be done in order to ensure graduation day is the best ever for you and your senior.

Thank you - The Administrative Staff

* Ms. Grimes does not handle these two areas.  Therefore, to expedite submission of hours, it is essential that you contact Killmaier for PE hours and Ms. McMinn for Community Service hours directly.  Students cannot graduate without completing these requirements.

*** PORTFOLIO PANELISTS NEEDED ***
Come be a Humanities Portfolio panelist: June 9-13!

Learn what's really going on in Humanities!

Gateway's Humanities Department needs your help.  Every year, students in Humanities complete and present a portfolio that reflects their learning and growth over the course of the year.  Because we feel that it's crucial for students to present their work to members of the larger community-not just to their teacher-we are looking for volunteer panelists to support our Humanities 10 and 11 students.

Volunteering as a portfolio panelist is a great opportunity to see the hard work and growth of Gateway's students and to be an active part of the school community.  We ask that you commit to sitting on one full panel (5 students, 2 hours) during the week of June 9-13.

If you're interested in volunteering to be a portfolio panelist, please call Joanne Wells at (415) 749-3600 to sign up for a panel.

We will be contacting panelists with more details as we get closer to Finals Week.  If you have questions about being a panelist, email Aaron Watson awatson@gatewayhigh.org.
