Join us for a timely discussion of how mediation works and when it could help your association resolve disputes between unit owners and other parties. Featured presenters are attorney Mark Pearlstein of Levenfeld Pearlstein, and mediator Mac Steele of the Center for Conflict Resolution. Community Meeting on 435-463 N. Park Drive, March 22
| |  A community meeting will be held on Thursday, March 22 to discuss the development proposed for 435-456 North Park Drive. Sponsored by SOAR and Alderman Reilly's office, this meeting is an opportunity for residents to provide input to the developer, ask questions, etc. (Review information on the proposal.)
The meeting will take place at the University of Chicago's Gleacher Center, 450 N. Cityfront Plaza, in room 621 and will begin promptly at 5:30 pm. RSVPs for this meeting are not necessary.

Aldermen Town Hall, April 4

We are pleased to invite you to attend SOAR's annual "Aldermen" Town Hall.
42nd Ward Alderman, Brendan Reilly will give a brief 15 minute address during which he has been asked to discuss the specific infrastructure improvements that will be made in Streeterville along with the City's rollout plans for the new ward map. After these remarks there will be a question and answer period.
SOAR has also invited 2nd Ward Alderman Bob Fioretti who is planning to attend to begin meeting his new north Streeterville constituents.

Led by SOAR member and Chicago Architecture Foundation docent, Maurice Champagne, SOAR is pleased to announce this new walking tour:
Streeterville: Transformation from Sand Bar to Lakefront Residences
Learn how geography influenced the development of Streeterville and what part "Cap" Streeter played. Also see the amazing variety of architectural style in Streeterville. This tours ends at the Chicago River where you can stop in for a beer at Lizzie McNeill's pub.
Meet at the northeast corner of Michigan Ave. and Oak/East Lake Shore Drive, across the street from the Drake Hotel.
Thursdays: April 26, May 24, June 28, July 26, Aug 30, Sept 27 from 5:30 to 7 pm.

Streeterville Artisan Market Organizing Committee
SOAR will once again host the very popular Streeterville Artisan Market in early November 2012. If you are interested in volunteering to participate on the steering committee or would like to work day-of, please email the committee at artisans@soarchicago.org.

There are many ways to become active and engaged in SOAR's efforts in Streeterville. Volunteers can contribute through one-time efforts, work on special events or projects, assist in the office, or participate on an ongoing basis with SOAR's task forces and committees.
