Dear ,

Organizations are only as strong as their weakest link and it only takes a few poor performers to adversely affect a company.  Quite often, a poor performer is someone in a job that isn't the right 'fit' for them and they lose the motivation to excel.  I'm sure you can think of a number of your co-workers who aren't successfully completing the tasks assigned to them.

Would You Hire Yourself?

I came across a great article by Audrey Field, a professional resume writer operating Resume Resources, regarding the many crucial actions, some more subtle than others, a career seeker can use to elevate their attempts to secure the ideal job. Aligning the  6 considerations she mentions will benefit you during your employment search or advancement.

ContinuedFinding High Performers....Cont'd

Companies tend to be hiring fewer individuals but are focused on finding high performers for those they do hire.  To do so, more and more companies are accessing scientifically researched and proven assessments to match a candidates abilities, interests/ motivations, and personality to the needs of a position.  These assessments are for the benefit of the applicant!  You hear individuals stating they need to 'find themselves'.  Truly knowing how a candidate's abilities, interests and personality matches to the needs of a position gives the employer more objective information regarding a candidate's potential for success with their organization.  PLUS, it helps the candidate find a position that they LIKE and prove successful.

The latest 'buzz word' seems to be EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT but what would it take for you to be FULLY ENGAGED as an employee?  Some things to think about:
  • What kind of a performer are you?
  • What type of a work environment allows you to thrive?
  • Does your current position match your personal abilities, interests, motivations, and personality?
  • Would you like to find a career that motivates you to get up in the morning?
I applaud you for contacting our firm.  Whether you did it through a job posting application or through a direct registration in our database - you've taken the first step to be considered for positions that FIT your personal career goals and aspirations.

We'd like to work with you to see if your personal abilities, interest/motivation, and personality are a match to our client's current or future career opportunities.  Perhaps YOU or one of your acquaintances are the best job fit!

Special Points of Interest for Career Seekers:

1. Career-seekers DON'T pay fees to search firms.

2. Recruiters hold the keys to the "hidden job
market". Just because there isn't a posting
doesn't mean there isn't an opportunity now
or in the future.

3. Recruiters call for
a reason-they think there may be a fit.

4. Great clients hire
reputable recruiting
firms to fill positions in a timely manner - your cooperation is vital.

5. Confidentiality is
expected from all
parties involved.

6. A recruiter finds
people for jobs - not jobs for people.

7. A good recruiter
will give you honest responses to your questions - about the job, your qualifications, etc.
