"I can't do that!" exclaimed George, a 45-year old project
engineer who had recently completed a four-year aviation assignment.
"Sure you can, George," I said with all the confidence of an
experienced career coach. Yet I had heard similar protests on scores of
occasions. Many embarking on a job search are just like George -- reluctant to
take advice on networking or as I like to call it, just plain making noise,
