YOU NEED A COMPLIANCE AGREEMENT TO LEGALLY TRANSPORT HARDWOOD FIREWOOD AND ASH WOOD IN ANY FORM ACROSS QUARANTINE BOUNDARIES.

To obtain a Compliance Agreement, contact the Arrest the Pest Hotline above and ask to be put in contact with regulatory officials. For more information on Compliance Agreements and the regulation of the EAB Quarantine, please visit our Q & A..
EAB Emergence Threshold is Here
degree daysAs of May 23, 2010 the degree day threshold for EAB emergence has been reached in the Twin Cities metro area. The threshold for initial EAB emergence is 450 degree days (base 50 F). View the degree day map.

EAB emergence should increase over the next few weeks to a peak sometime in mid-June and then gradually taper off in July. The emergence threshold was reached in southeastern Houston County on May 20, 2010.
EAB Community Preparedness Workshops
The EAB Train-the-Trainer and Community Preparedness Workshops are filling up, but seats are still available.  Due to an overwhelming number of registration requests for the Twin Cities Metro Area, an additional workshop has been added in Roseville on June 16th, 2010.

To view the dates and locations and register for the workshops please visit the Forest Protection Reserve Grants - individuals can choose to attend either workshop, or both.  The Train-the-Trainer Program is intended for individuals who would like to educate others about EAB.  The Community Preparedness Workshops are designed for community leaders, planners, foresters or others who are responsible for preparing their community for EAB.
