Hester, Cassie and Merlin:
$2500 Needed for Surgeries

Hester
Hester is one of our oldest cats, who was rescued from terrible neglect in 2002.
She had been forced to live in darkness in a filthy shed, along with 18 other cats.
A cataract in one of her eyes ruptured earlier this week; she was in a great deal of
pain, so immediate surgery was needed. Luckily, Hester bounced back
quickly from
the operation and returned home to her feline friends earlier today.

The Humane Society of Louisiana works hard to raise tens of thousands of dollars each year to cover the routine costs of veterinary medical care. Spay neuter surgeries, annual shots, health certificates and medical supplies are a major slice of our annual budget, even though many of

our veterinary services are donated.

Sometimes there are medical costs we just can't anticipate.
We now need to raise $2500 to cover the costs of some recent emergencies.  Can you
HELP?

Cassie was rescued from an animal shelter with serious behavioral issues, such as
spinning
and tail biting.  We were successful in addressing her anxiety, but she recently
developed a cancerous tumor on her jaw.  Surgery was required to remove the bottom
section.  Her operation was successful and the veterinarian feels that the cancer is unlikely
to recur. Cassie is still a beautiful, healthy dog with a long, happy life ahead of her.

When Merlin was rescued from the roadside, he had already
endured a serious head trauma.  In all likelihood, he will soon
require
surgery to remove his damaged eye.

Anyone with an animal companion knows that the costs of providing excellent

animal care can be staggering!  Please, if you can help us with the costs of these

surgeries, we would greatly appreciate it.  DONATE here

Hester, Cassie and Merlin are also seeking loving homes.  Please contact us if
