As a wonderful added benefit, our shelter partner in New Hampshire
will provide any spay/neuter surgeries needed before the adoptions.
Please, if you can, throw us a bone and help fund our second lifesaving transport this year. Donations were
down for charities last year; HSL is feeling the squeeze like
everyone, but we're determined not to cut back on our programs.
Your contributions will help us cover the costs of:
$3000 auto insurance due to keep our adoption van & transport vehicles on the road
$1500 gas, dog food, supplies and transport costs
$1000 vet bills for pre-transport exams, health certificates etc.

Want to meet some of the lucky adult dogs waiting to hit the road?
You may remember Emily, HSL's anti-cruelty 'spokesdog' from last
summer's 'Emily Events'.
Rested, recovered and barely recognizable
from the skeletal dog she was when we first met her, Emily's ready to
retire from the limelight to focus on family life. Emily entered our program, after cruelty charges were filed against her former owners.
While he's had a fine time
recuperating at our shelter, Opie's anxious to head north, too. A Treeing Walker Coonhound, Opie is likely a
lost hunting dog who was lucky enough to find his way to our
shelter. Despite bearing the telltale signs of long-term neglect,
Opie's a fun-loving, high energy guy, who really deserves a second chance in life.

Thanks for making all our puppy smiles and wagging tails possible!
