"Hi, I'm Willie, and I only have three legs,
but I can still run and play."

Marty

"I'm Marty.  I was terribly abused as a puppy, so
I'm very shy.  I potty where I shouldn't, and I sometimes spin in circles.  I just need lots
of love, training and patience!"

Diamond

"Sometimes I snarl when I meet new people
instead of wagging my tail.  My name is
Diamond, and once I get to know you,
I'll love you and defend your family
with my life!"

Alex Paw

"I'm Alex and I only have three legs, too. 
Vets are still trying to find out why I keep
getting sick, before Santa can find me a home."

Other 'misfits' will probably live
out their lives with us.

Spots

"I'm Spots and my vets have never seen anyone like me. 
My jaw isn't growing like it should so I can't open my
mouth any more than an inch.  (Don't worry, I can still
eat treats, if you'd like to send some.)  Vets are trying to
 help me,  but I need lots of medical tests and
treatment."



Timmy 2

"I'm Timmy, and I'm an old guy who's seen it all. 
Everyone loves me here, and they care for me, even
though I have cancer and a serious heart condition."



Brock

"My name is Brock, and I was neglected my
whole life and used in dog fights.  When I came here,
I was in heart failure because of all those years of
neglect.    They're giving me medication so I can
 at least enjoy a Christmas holiday for the
very first time."








At the Humane Society of Louisiana,
we love the 'misfit' animals who need
