Funny Friday...Friday Laugh...
A little humor to end the week
January 6, 2012
Each year all of us are setting a new goals and new resolutions at the opening at a year, and trying to make amend with those resolution all year around. It is not easy and we all need to work hard to stay focus. At Dodge Park Rest Home and the Adult Day Club as well as Dodge Park At Home, we have only one resolution each year, a resolution that we follow through from one year to other. This resolution is very simple and very powerful. Our resolution is to keep improving our level of care and commitment to the frail and the elderly residents and participants we served, and empower our employees and providing an environment of creativity that provide a unique level of care.
Looking forward, we see appreciable growth for the Dodge Park Rest Home brand, service delivery and standards for the coming year. Becoming world class means more than just providing the most innovative and effective care available, a significant achievement in its own right. Additionally it means growing our leaders and other associates, forming healthy, productive partnerships and relationships outside of our company, pushing ourselves and each other in ways that result in consistent growth and improvement, doing all of this efficiently and better than the rest. Quite a challenge, but 2011 was such a year and 2012 promises even more outstanding achievement.
We are looking forward to 2012, the new relationships and the many new successes with our residents. It's truly a blessing to lead a company that promotes bringing a better quality of life to hundreds of people; where each of us can make a real contribution to the lives of others and where the difference we all make lends itself to a better world. With The Adult Day Club at Dodge Park and Dodge Park at Home services, we will go beyond simply meeting the needs of our customers, patients and residents, and into the realm of exceeding every expectation!

| On my way for a lecture............. | | |
On New Year's Eve, Daniel was in no shape to drive, so he sensibly left his van in the car park and walked home. As he was wobbling along, he was stopped by a policeman. 'What are you doing out here at four o'clock in the morning?' asked the police officer.
'I'm on my way to a lecture,' answered Roger.
'And who on earth, in their right mind, is going to give a lecture at this time on New Year's Eve?' enquired the constable sarcastically.
'My wife,' slurred Daniel grimly. |
| Politician in action | | |
A Senator in the USA was once asked about his attitude toward whisky.
'If you mean the demon drink that poisons the mind, pollutes the body, desecrates family life, and inflames sinners, then I'm against it. But if you mean the elixir of a New Year toast, the shield against winter chill, the taxable potion that puts needed funds into public coffers to comfort little crippled children, then I'm for it. This is my position, and I will not compromise.' |
| Quit smoking.... | | |
Peter, at a New Year's party, turns to his friend, Ken, and asks for a cigarette.
'I thought you made a New Year's resolution to quit smoking,' Ken responds. 'I'm in the process of quitting,' replies Peter with a grin. 'Right now, I am in the middle of phase one.'
'Phase one?' wonders Ken.
'Yeah,' laughs Peter, 'I've quit buying.'

| A bad dream | | |
Jemima was taking an afternoon nap on New Year's Eve before the festivities. After she woke up, she confided to Max, her husband, 'I just dreamed that you gave me a diamond ring for a New Year's present. What do you think it all means?'
'Aha, you'll know tonight,' answered Max smiling broadly.
At midnight, as the New Year was chiming, Max approached Jemima and handed her small package. Delighted and excited she opened it quickly. There in her hand rested a book entitled: 'The meaning of dreams'.
