THANK YOU FROM THE HEART

Dear family members, supporters, employees and friends,

During this time of the holiday season I wish to take the opportunity to simply say thank you. Thank you for for making Dodge Park Rest Home and The Adult Day Care the amazing place that it is.

The staff remains excited to serve our residents as well as to serve you and your family. Dodge Park Rest Home's mission statement is to be the leader in providing care for the frails and the elderly and strengthen the foundation of long term care to the community we serve. The impact we are making is not possible without you and the community which we all serve and work to improve each day. As a tradition we started 2 years ago, we will skip this year the traditional printed holiday cards by mail, (we will continue using the e-cards) and instead we will donate money to local charities and foundations and local public organizations that will benefit from such donations in this tough economic time.

Good in black.....
A man who just died is delivered to a Kentucky mortuary wearing an expensive, expertly tailored blćck suit. Bubba the mortician asks the deceased's wife how she would like the body dressed.???
He points out that the man does look very good in the blāck suit he is already wearing. The widow however, says that she always thought her husband looked his best in blue, and that she wants him in a blue suit. She gives Bubba a blank check and says, "I don't care what it costs, but please have my husband in a blue suit for the viewing."
The woman returns the next day for the viewing. To her delight she finds her husband dressed in a gorgeous blue suit with a subtle chalk stripe; the suit fits him perfectly. She says to Bubba, "Whatever the cost, I'm very satisfied. You did an excellent job and I'm very grateful. How much did you spend?"
To her astonishment, Bubba presents her with the blank check. "Dere's no charge," he says. "No, really, I must pay you for the cost of that exquisite blue suit!" "Honestly, ma'am,"Bubba says, "it didn't cost me a ting. You see, a deceased gentleman of about your husband's size was brought in shortly after you left yesterday, and he was wearing an attractive blue suit. I asked his missus if she minded him going to his grave wearing a blāck suit instead, and she said it made no difference as long as he looked nice." "So, I just switched the heads...!"

Different view....

Dear Daughter,
I finally broke out of prison. After 20 years of a lifetime sentence I couldn't take it anymore. There was some many sleepless nights, alot of tension, I care not to recall. The fighting, screaming and crying was enough. Now that I think about it, I regret what I did. I was young and wasn't thinking straight.
      Love,    your father.

Dear Dad,   I love you too. Mom called me and told me everything. You know how I feel about this, its serious...so stop calling it 'breaking out of prison'....its your divorce...

      Love,  your Daughter.

A chance of a men winning an argument.....

Mystic and Logic
An engineer, a physicist, a mathematician, and a mystic were asked to name the greatest invention of all time. The engineer chose fire, which gave humanity power over matter. The physicist chose the wheel, which gave humanity the power over space. The mathematician chose the alphabet, which gave humanity power over symbols. The mystic chose the thermos bottle.
"Why a thermos bottle?" the others asked.
"Because the thermos keeps hot liquids hot in winter and cold liquids cold in summer."
"Yes - so what?"
"Think about it." said the mystic reverently. "That little bottle - how does it know?"
Save the money....

A man being mugged by two thugs put up a tremendous fight! Finally, the thugs subdued him and took his wallet. Upon finding only two dollars in the wallet, the surprised thug said "Why did you put up such a fight?" To which the man promptly replied "I was afraid that you would find the $200 hidden in my shoe!"
