Guidelines for Scoring Judges
Guidelines for Presiding Judges

"Dear Participating Lawyers:"
We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for signing up to judge the Student Mock Trial Competition. We will begin the Competition with a judges' orientation to go over the competition's procedure, format, and scoring. Attached you will find the guidelines for presiding judges and the guidelines for scoring judges for you to review prior to arriving to the competition. A presiding judge must have trial experience and scoring judges are not required to have trial experience. If you have the trial experience and would like to be the presiding judge, please read both guidelines scoring and presiding. Since we are short of judges, the presiding judge will also act as a scoring judge. Please plan for possible delays and be on time we are counting on you to conduct these trials.
Finally, please join us at the Cocktail Reception on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 6:30pm at the Aronfeld Home 5737 Riviera Drive, Coral Gables, FL 33146. At the Reception we will announce the finalist who will be competing on Sunday March 6, 2011.
