We need lawyers.
The American Association for Justice 2011 National Student Trial Advocacy Competition will be held at the University of Miami School of Law:
March 4 from 5:00PM -9:00PM.
March 5 from 9:00AM-12:00PM and from 2:00PM-5:00PM.
March 6 from 9:00AM-12:00PM and from 2:00PM-5:00PM.
You have to be a lawyer to serve as a judge.
On behalf of the American Association for Justice and the law schools participating, I am requesting your assistance to kindly participate as judge for this competition.
Sixteen law school teams from around the country will compete during the competition. Each of the 27 trials in the competition requires one presiding judge and three scoring judges. Therefore, at the very least, we are required to recruit 27 presiding judges and 81 scoring judges.
Your volunteering for the Competition qualifies you to receive CLE Credit, and according to the Florida Bar Association, it calculates its credits on a 50-minute hour. For example, a 15-hour competition could be up to 18 credits. We will provide the forms for CLE credit at the Competition.
Please fill out the Volunteer Registration Form included in this e-mail, and e-mail it to dina@aronfeld.com or fax it to (305) 441-0198 at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your assistance. I will be happy to e-mail you all the necessary details for this competition and speak with you by telephone at your convenience. For more information, please contact Dina Aronfeld at (305) 491-1499 or dina@aronfeld.com.
Sincerely,
Spencer Aronfeld
