Dear Comic Inside,

In the January issue, I gave my comics, friends and fans a list of goals to get them going throughout the year and without even realizing it, I've been taking my own advice.  I said, take a class.  For the very first time in my career, I took not just one but two acting classes simultaneously.  I highly recommend both of them. One was a 4 week class with David Dean Bottrell (writer/actor/director) from Boston Legal.  He has ongoing sessions throughout the year. I learned four things that I could implement immediately in my work and at auditions. The other class was with Mr. Bill Duke (actor/director/producer).  This was a 3 month intensive actors "bootcamp" that focused on business the first 90 minutes of class and then we did scenes the rest of the time.  It was here that we were challenged every Saturday with the phrase, "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?", which leads me to my second piece of advice and the answer to your question. Teach a class. Share what you know.  I have decided to introduce the Laugh-A-Latte Comedy Workshop.  With over 24 years of experience as an actress, 19 years as a stand-up comic and almost 3 years as producer and host of Laugh-A-Latte I strongly believe I can bring that comic inside out to place where we can all Laugh-A-Latte.
