This trip is extraordinary. It is a real pleasure to discover the real World of the Balkans with their habits, traditions, style of life, archaeological treasures, beautiful Ottoman architecture - still well-preserved, delicious food, beautiful nature, the art of Medieval Churches and monasteries and very friendly and hospitable people. One who has already been to many of the main sites of the Balkans will be surprised by how much more can be seen there and first-time visitors will fall in love with the Balkans for sure.

We have an overnight at Meteora in order to avoid the tourist crowd there. We do not stay in Tirana but prefer to stay in the smaller town of Durres instead of Tirana, where we can spend hours there to "smelt" the town.
