Greetings!
"Are you really going to Iran?" Yes, we are! The news is filled with angry accusations from all parts of the world, primarily the U.S. and Iran. It kind of reminds me of the Cold War. During that period we continued to send groups to the Soviet Union; now we continue to send good travelers to Iran. We are in touch with our counterparts in Tehran daily, and continue to watch the unfolding of supposed spy and assassin plots. At the same time, people are continuing to travel, and without exception everyone returns with fabulous and happy tales to tell. Our November 2011 group had a wonderful time. It takes a special kind of person to want to go to Iran in the first place. Most Americans have no idea there are ancient sites every bit as monumental as found in Greece (Persia's nemesis). But is this the time to go? For most the answer is, "no." The barrage of protests from friends and family may be too much with which to deal. Yet, if you are at all curious to see for yourself, we can make it happen for you. My "Persian son", Bahman, will be with you every step of the way, and I can assure you (with a smile on my face) that you won't be kidnapped or have anything else bad happen to you. You may be more worried about what the U.S. might do than the Iranians. If so, I suggest you make your trip to Iran before a possible change in administration is seated, January 20th of next year. Back to the itinerary, the Caspian extension is slightly revised and includes Gonbad-e-Soltaniyeh in Zanjan - another UNESCO World Heritage Site. We hope you'll join us this year. We expect to operate our tours in April as well as July, and we have a room share available for the April trip. Call us!
