|
Come be a part of history at the American Civil War Museum over the
4th of July weekend! The
Civil War Heritage Foundation will present a living history encampment on the
front lawn of the museum complex July 3 & 4 from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., and July 5
from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
The foundation, comprised of generals from both the
northern and southern armies, will be set up on the front lawn of the Gift
Center complex and will offer informative talks and discussions about
significant personalities, battle campaigns, and life during the Civil War. In
the evenings, members of the group will provide music. Special presentations will take place
continuously throughout the weekend under the special events tent.
Chaplain Rene Kinard and his wife Rommie will offer a Civil War era
church service on the front lawn of the museum complex Sunday morning at 10
a.m. The service is non-denominational
and open to the public. It will be a peaceful service full of music, singing and
uplifting messages.
The living history encampment and special presentations
