July 3 - 5

Greetings!
History comes alive at the American Civil War Museum!  Civil War reenactors will converge on the grounds of the American Civil War Museum July 3 - 5.  The generals from both the north and south will be on hand to talk about the many aspects of war. A must see for the entire family! 

Saturday, July 4,  the Gettysburg Gift Center will host four artists.  Sculptor Andrew Chernak, sculptor Francis Barnum, Victorian hair jeweler Lucy Cadwallader, and antique jewelry maker Rebecca Marie Schmehl.  Visitors are welcome to talk with the artist and purchase their work!

Celebrate the 4th of July in a town rich in American history!
There are many special events and activities taking place throughout the town of Gettysburg! Don't miss out on this special weekend!

Living History at the American Civil War Museum!
lincoln with guestCome be a part of history at the American Civil War Museum over the 4th of July weekend!  The Civil War Heritage Foundation will present a living history encampment on the front lawn of the museum complex July 3 & 4 from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., and July 5 from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
 
The foundation, comprised of generals from both the northern and southern armies, will be set up on the front lawn of the Gift Center complex and will offer informative talks and discussions about significant personalities, battle campaigns, and life during the Civil War. In the evenings, members of the group will provide music.  Special presentations will take place continuously throughout the weekend under the special events tent. 
 
Chaplain Rene Kinard and his wife Rommie will offer a Civil War era church service on the front lawn of the museum complex Sunday morning at 10 a.m.  The service is non-denominational and open to the public. It will be a peaceful service full of music, singing and uplifting messages.
 
The living history encampment and special presentations are suitable for the entire family and free and open to the public.  Free parking is available on site at the museum complex.
