The devastating barrage of cannon fire that the lighthouse received in August of 1864 can be seen in this post-war depiction. Following the Civil War, the lighthouse was torn down due to the damage it received when the union troops captured Fort Morgan in Alabama.
This is the first Civil War piece issued by Harbour Lights. Expect more in the coming months!
