Royal Copenhagen Celebrates 100 years with a Special Edition Plate!
|
 2008 marks the 100th anniversary of Royal Copenhagen's famous handcrafted Christmas plate series. In honor of the 100th year, they have released a special green 2008 plate (shown left), in addition to the traditional royal blue 2008 plate (not shown). The green plate, outlined with a gold border, is available in the United States only. The master model will be destroyed at the end of the year, making it impossible to produce the plate again. This makes it a true collectible!
The Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl collectible series have been cherished by generations of people all over the world, and continue to be produced with great respect for tradition, fine craftsmanship and unique Danish design.
