 As we go forward in 2010, we're happy to have you with us. We have three exciting and attractive meetings coming up in Orlando, Buenos Aires, and Austin. Our journals will continue to publish the very best in O.R. scholarship, and our awards program continues to identify and reward meritorious achievement. Several new initiatives are set to launch in 2010, and soon we will issue a second call for proposals to support strategic growth opportunities such as new publications, new meetings, continuing education, and outreach to the practice community.

Congratulations to three INFORMS members who have just been named as fellows of the National Academy of Engineering. Their names and citations are:
- INFORMS Past President Cynthia Barnhart, associate dean for academic affairs and professor of civil and environmental engineering and engineering systems, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge. For professional leadership, and for contributions to optimization and transportation models, algorithms, and applications.
- Former Management Science Editor-in-Chief Hau L. Lee, Thoma Professor of Operations, Information, and Technology, Graduate School of Business, Stanford University, Stanford, CA. For contributions demonstrating the impact of information-sharing on supply chain design and management.
- Veteran INFORMS member William R. Pulleyblank, vice president, Center for Business Optimization, IBM Business Consulting Services, Somers, N.Y. For contributions to the theory and methods of optimization and leadership in their application to business problems.

In recent years, the INFORMS Annual Meeting has grown significantly, making it difficult to accommodate all of the talks submitted. It may be necessary to accept submissions in the order in which they are received if there is not sufficient capacity to schedule all of the talks submitted by May 17. Therefore, we encourage you to submit early, well before the May 17 deadline. If space is no longer available for talks, authors will be given the option of moving their submission to an Interactive Session (poster/display). Click here to submit an abstract.

Highlighting Communities
The Technology Management Section (TMS) is a community for scholars and practitioners of technology management to discuss emerging ideas and promote novel research. TMS members come from diverse disciplinary backgrounds and use diverse methods in their work to explore the boundaries of the field, including topics such as innovation management, product development management, R&D management, engineering management, knowledge, learning, intellectual capital, entrepreneurship, technology diffusion, technology forecasting, technology and organizational change, technology strategy, and other topics.
TMS sponsors a track of sessions at the INFORMS annual meeting to address these various technology related topics. Annual prizes are awarded at our business meeting, including those for Best Dissertation, Distinguished Service, and Distinguished Speaker. Past Distinguished Speakers include many eminent scholars, such as Marvin Lieberman, Carliss Baldwin, Cheryl Gaimon, Ashish Arora, Eric von Hippel, and Scott Shane.
