STC Chicago Chapter Recognition and Awards Banquet

Join us on Thursday, March 29 for our annual celebration of competition award winners and special chapter volunteers. This event celebrates the best that technical communication has to offer. Award-winning entries from this year's tech comm competition will be on display. Award-winning writers and designers will also be in attendance. And, this year, Jack Molisani will join us as keynote speaker!

In consideration of the tight economy, we have reduced banquet registration fees from previous years. This year, the cost will be $35 for members, $40 for nonmembers, and $30 for students and competition judges.

But, wait! There's more!

Attendees of our banquet will be eligible to win a free registration to the 10th annual LavaCon Conference on Digital Media and Content Strategies courtesy of conference organizer, Jack Molisani. Thank you, Jack!

Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate STC Chicago and some of the cutting-edge work being done in the field of technical communication today! Space will be limited, so register today!

Following the interviewing skills portion, you will breakout into groups and practice your interviewing skills using the tips and techniques for your resume, work sample portfolio, and presentational skills shared during this workshop.

At the end of the workshop, there will be an optional one-hour "Ask the Experts" panel Q&A.

At-a-Glance Photo Contest

See the neon light sculpture featured in the photo above? To win this month's photo contest, you'll have to answer two questions correctly. What is the title of this structure? Who is its sculptor? Hint: This kinetic art piece is located in the passenger corridor between Concourses B and C in Terminal 1 of Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

The first person to reply correctly to this challenge will win a $20 gift card from Amazon.com. Please send your replies to [email protected] and check our website for news of a winner. Good luck!

Contestants are eligible to win only one prize within any 12-month period. We will notify the winner via email.
