Career Workshop
Saturday, April 10, 2010
Are you a technical communicator? A college student about to graduate with a technical communication degree? A seasoned communications professional interested in taking your career to the next level?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, you should consider attending our workshop.
Join us on Saturday, April 10, as Carole Berkson-Ross facilitates a full-day seminar on the current needs for technical communicators and what hiring managers want to pay for. Carole will guide us through the answers to the following questions:
  • How do my skills align with my career goals?
  •
  • How does my expertise relate to current and future marketplaces?
  •
  • How do I add value to this profession during today's economy?
  •
  • What do clients want to pay for?
Carole will report on primary and secondary research into hiring managers' needs and expectations for product development, training, and marketing in information technology and other specialized industries. She will also conduct collaborative sessions on aligning, publicizing, and expanding your current skills to meet market opportunities.

This workshop will result in individual Action Plans. Carole will offer individual follow up coaching options for members who want to break through professional barriers and ensure consistent progress on their Action Plans.
