April 17: STC Chicago Monthly Meeting
Grammar: Grimace or Grin?
Join us on April 17 when Dr. Mary Ryba Knepper, long-time STC Chicago supporter and colleague, talks about grammar and taps into our love/like relationship with words, sense, and syntax.
The expanded title is "Grammar: Grimace or Grin--A Romp Through Some Household Variety Rules--with a Nod to a Few Arcane Ones--Related to Those Sticky Issues of Grammar, Usage, and Mechanics." The meeting promises to be entertaining and informative. It will be a highly interactive session--a far cry from grade school diagramming.
Also in April: Susan Burton, Executive Director of STC, will be in town to meet with community members and discuss new developments and trends at STC. So save the date and join us on the 17th to welcome former Chicagoans Mary Ryba Knepper and Susan Burton for an evening of networking and lively discussion in Oak Park.
