The Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium, which helps fuel Wisconsin's high-growth economy by matching investors, companies and entrepreneurs, drew a record 500 registrants.  This year's symposium was held in conjunction with the MidAmerica Healthcare Venture Forum, one of the largest showcase platforms for healthcare start-ups and emerging growth companies in a 14-state region. It attracted 250 registrants. Between the two conferences, nearly 90 early state companies pitched to more than 100 investors.  Read more about the conferences here.
Senate Democratic economic growth plan
tracks with Tech Council reports

WisBusiness survey shows rising optimism among state tech execs
The Wisconsin Technology Council, WisBusiness.com and The Luminis Group reported October results of a quarterly survey of technology executives from across Wisconsin.

While the majority of technology industry executives who responded to the most recent WisBusiness.com Tech Leaders Survey still rate Wisconsin's economy as poor (19.9 percent) or only fair (65.2 percent), perceptions about the state's economy amongst those executives shifted positively from the second quarter to the third quarter.

The next poll will go into the field in late December and results will be reported in mid-January.
