Q: Is there a difference between Incoterms and sales terms?

 

A:  There is a lot of confusion between INCOTERMS and other sales terms, i.e. the Uniform Commercial Code, the Revised American Foreign Trade Definitions, or the Warsaw Terms.

North Dakota to partner in Ukraine dealership

North Dakota agribusinesses are developing a model farm to showcase, demonstrate and sell their equipment and supplies in Ukraine, one of the world's highest demand markets for large-scale farm technologies.

 

The export initiative calls for North Dakota companies to partner with a leading Ukrainian agribusiness, Ukrainian Agriculture AB (UAAB), to operate a North Dakota "model farm" in Ukraine. The model farm will serve as a dealer location for North Dakota farm equipment and supplies. Participating North Dakota companies will work with the North Dakota Trade Office and UAAB to develop marketing events that will draw prospective buyers from throughout Ukraine.

North Dakota eyes Chinese market

A delegation of North Dakota business representatives will take part in a trade mission to China in late March.

 

For the past year, the Trade Office has worked to build strong relationships within the Chinese government and with key business leaders in four strategic northern provinces to mitigate the risks that come with entering the complex Chinese market. Mike Seifert, the Trade Office's director of resource management, is leading the trade mission's development.

The North Dakota Trade Office will lead a group of North Dakota companies to Mexico in February where they will participate in the country's largest agricultural trade show and attend other events designed to connect them with some of Mexico's largest farm operations.
