A:  The vast majority of shipping problems can be avoided. Consider taking these measures before every shipment:

- Assess the hazards your shipment will incur on all its transportation legs and pack based on the toughest leg

Trade Office moves to Richard H. Barry Hall

Gov. John Hoeven, NDSU officials, Trade Office board members, staff and other guests celebrated the opening of the Trade Office's new international business center Oct. 2.  The new office space is located in NDSU's Richard H. Barry Hall, suite 284. 

Graduate students assist ND exporters

Interested in international expansion but lack the managerial manpower? The Trade Office's Export Assistant Program can help.  The Trade Office and state university graduate programs are placing business-savvy graduate students with North Dakota exporters who need assistance in developing international business. 
 
Exporters bound for Mexico
ND Mexico flagsThe North Dakota Trade Office, in collaboration with the U.S. Commercial Service, is organizing a trade mission to Mexico Feb. 7-13, 2010. 
 
There are significant opportunities in Mexico for North Dakota businesses including manufacturers and dealers of agriculture equipment. The Mexican government is investing $300 billion USD, to modernize machinery and develop more efficient technologies. Other North Dakota business sectors with strong opportunities in Mexico include environmental technologies, animal feed, education, auto parts and accessories, processed foods and value-added crops.
