Big Iron Farm Show draws intl' buyers
BI LogoThe North Dakota Trade Office and U.S. Commercial Service are recruiting key buyers from eight foreign countries to attend Big Iron and participate in the show's International Visitors Program Sept. 8-11. About 130 equipment buyers from 11 foreign countries have registered to attend the three-day show and other events.
 
Big Iron, held at the West Fargo Fairgrounds, features more than 800 exhibitors and attracts about 70,000 visitors each year.

South Korean trade teams to visit ND

Two trade delegations from the Republic of Korea will visit North Dakota in September to further develop business ties with the state's producers of value-added foods.
 
A group of 16 food company executives will arrive Sept. 15 and spend five days touring farms that produce Identity Preserved soybeans, soybean processing plants and the North Dakota State University Research Extension Center in Carrington. The food buyers also will attend a soybean quality class at the Northern Crops Institute in Fargo and one-on-one meetings with IP soybean producers.
 
ND businesses prepare for Turkey
The North Dakota Trade Office is organizing a trade mission to Turkey set for November 14-21, 2008.

North Dakota products in high demand in Turkey include food crops, construction machinery, building products, education services, water resources equipment and services and energy technology.

North Dakota businesses that compete in the international marketplace are encouraged to take advantage of the Trade Office's college internship program.
 
The Trade Office and North Dakota's colleges and universities work to identify, screen and place students within businesses in need of their skills.
