For 14 years Emerson's Fargo-based company, EZ Spot UR, has built attachments for skid steers, excavators and tractors, empowering sole operators to tackle jobs that otherwise require an army of helpers or the use of equipment not intended or safe for the task at hand.

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez, left, met with North Dakota Trade Office representative Sergiy Polovenko June 4 in Kiev, Ukraine. Gutierrez congratulated the Trade Office and U.S. Commercial Service for increasing exports of North Dakota agriculture equipment to Ukraine, an emerging market economy with great demand for equipment used in large-scale agriculture production.. Polovenko is based in Kiev and is charged with assisting the Trade Office in expanding North Dakota's equipment exports to Ukraine and neighboring countries. North Dakota's machinery exports to Ukraine increased from $35.3 million in 2006 to nearly $52 million last year. |

The 28th annual Big Iron Farm Show and International Visitors Program will be held Sept. 8-11, 2008.
