Respect
Fundamental to NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)
are beliefs and values. This is why I frequently coach
around role models, especially those from your early
years. Respect!!!!
My newsletter presents you with inspiring
outstanding women; some of whom may even be
outrageous. They are there to show you, remind
you, that you too, have the capacity to be amazing.
Below are some I found earlier...
I also firmly believe that if you choose the right role
models, and display them somewhere in your
workspace, they act as anchors and inspiration. Ask
my clients! I’m thinking of my guys here; the same
thing works for them and they have some fascinating
role models. But I’m here to highlight the women, to
bring out of the shadows the overshadowed women,
so Andrew: Eve Arnold; Martha Geldhorn; Lee Millar or
Jane Brown? Please send me favourite models or
unusual women, its all grist to the mill!
So the city duly conquered; (I had a sense of turn
again Whittington!) so that’s how Businesslink run a
networking session: very full, very busy and good
food; met some fascinating people, as ever.
The Painters Hall was fascinating and was shown
round by the beadle who had some interesting tales
to tell. I’m fascinated by city guild halls and like to
explore them through the City of London Festival
(CoLF) in the summer.

Aun Sun Suu Kyi
Aun Sun Suu Kyi has shown amazing bravery and
adherence to her values and beliefs, having spent 10
years in house detention. Like Mandela, a strong role
model for standing up for what she believes in.

Woolly Monkeys!
Angela is a PhD student who studies and lives with
Woolly monkeys in the wilds. The project is about
respect, not just for the monkeys, encouraging local
tribal people to find other sources of food, but also
about respect for the environment, the people and
even the languages, some of which are on the point
of extinction. Here she is with 2 woolly monkeys...
An enthusiastic proponent of her project, Angela
shows that role models don’t have to be older than
us!
“At international level, I have been giving oral
presentations about TWMP in academic and funding
institutions and overall, people agreed that woolly
monkeys are a key species for habitat conservation
(A Maldonado pers. obs.). During a Primate
Conservation Fundraising Campaign Launch Event at
Oxford Brookes University, Jon Snow (BBC 4 News)
refers to woolly monkeys as: “charismatic and
beautiful, monkeys deserving our effort and
dedication to preserve them in the wild””
The latest fashion accessory: a South American
woolly monkey T shirt available from:

Ladies Who Lunch
Next I’m taking my O3 women to the other end of the
country: Purley lunch, hosted by Charlotte of SEA
photography; pictured with camera.
Yes it’s the outrageous women again; but not always
the same ones and another recent talk, Crystal
Palace Towns Womens Guild, I picked up some new
ones, including Lily Langtry. What is it about the
good time girls that attract me and the ladies who
lunch?! See July 20th Purley lunch at the Womens
Company, link below.

Cicely Saunders
Somehow Dame Cicely Saunders became the patron
saint of Christrainers. It must have been “The Lark
Ascending” solo violin at her memorial in Westminster
Abbey, shows that she, like me, soars in the
stratosphere. Maybe it’s the calm joyous light
atmosphere of St Christopher’s itself, a welcoming
place to be; a place where people “live until they die”
maybe it’s the inspiring people who gathered
around her and who continue in her spirit. Maybe it’s
the fact that for her, respect is real respect for
every person, dying, or refugee or patient, or
patient’s family. I believe she even once told off
Prince Philip for a lack of respect. Maybe above all it’s
the spine of steel, the determination that got her
from £500 from a Polish refugee dying of cancer, to a
world wide movement, for education and training
centre for palliative care.
This month the Lambeth Palace Garden party June
28th will raise money for St. Christopher’s Hospice
