In addition to our generous sponsors and all who attend the Crystal Ball, the success of this annual event can be attributed to our exciting live and silent auctions. Why donate to the Crystal Ball Auction?
Recognition For Your Business. In the months leading up to the Crystal Ball, our unique auction website serves as an online catalog featuring your donation, a photo or logo, and linking to your website. Qualify as an advertising expense, or consider it your tax deductible gift. Be recognized as a charitable, community-minded business.
Presentation and Promotion. This year, we expect to have 850 auction bidders anxious to view your donation and see what your business has to offer. Professional auctioneer Scott Swenson will handle the live auction, and promotional materials, decor, and placement are all designed to capture the attention of our generous silent auction bidders. We are happy to place any promotional materials that you'd like to provide on the auction tables with your donation.
Your Donation Makes a Difference. Proceeds benefit education in the Lake Travis ISD. Since 1985, LTEF has supported our district's teachers and students with over $1.5 million in grants and scholarships. Last year's Crystal Ball raised net proceeds in excess of $290,000 for our schools. Your generosity makes this support possible.
It's Fun! Get involved in the excitement of the auction by contributing an item and seeing how much it helps our schools! Some ideas follow.
- Vacation Homes - Donate a stay in your vacation home for a high bidder to enjoy. You can name the timeframe and set the restrictions, and we'll have a great item to add to the auction.
- Event Tickets - Do you own season tickets for sports, music performances, or the theatre, and know that you won't be able to attend a specific event? Please consider donating a pair (or more) of tickets to the Crystal Ball.
- Group Donations - Travel packages, group dinners, iPods, and electronic scooters are just some of the items that have been contributed over the years by individuals who have combined their donations into one fabulous item. Please ask your neighbors, your bunko group, your golf foursome, your sorority sisters, your co-workers ... any group that has a common interest in supporting our schools ... and organize a group donation.
- Make a Personal Donation - While you're out doing that holiday shopping, pick up something for the kids of Lake Travis ISD. Any item that you think would interest our auction bidders would be appreciated. Dining certificates, kids' items, jewelry or accessories, giftcards ... new items of all values are welcome additions to the Crystal Ball auctions.
Auction Deadline. All donations must be received by February 1, 2008. The sooner you donate, the longer your donation is publicized on our auction website.
