(Visit here to download the report.)
A new report by the Center for American Progress, Jumping Beyond the Broom: Why Black Gay and Transgender Americans Need More Than Marriage Equality, reveals that "while some states and the federal government continue to expand protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, more than half of all states still deny them basic civil rights. Such systemic inequities render people of color who are also gay and transgender among the most vulnerable in our society." (Visit here to download the report.)
"Hispanic Lesbians and Bisexual Women at Heightened Risk or Health Disparities" A recent study published in the American Journal of Public Health found Hispanic lesbian and bisexual women tend to be at a greater risk of worse health outcomes than Hispanic heterosexual as well as white lesbian and bisexual women.
