ARCHIVES BAZAAR COVERAGE
|

The Los Angeles Times ran an article "USC's Archives Bazaar resurrects L.A.'s history" in their October, 6th issue covering the recent USC Archives Bazaar, in which we are in attendance. Our own Archivist Michael Palmer was quoted and we received a wonderful shout out to the public to remember us when thinking of donating materials. Thanks Michael!!! OUT
and ABOUT TOURS
|
Out & About Tours has made it
part of its mission to donate a portion of its ticket price to a local
or national LGBT charity of its choosing each month and is thrilled to
announce that our first charitable donations will support ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives. "Much of the research that was
conducted to bring the tour to life, came directly off the shelves of
ONE's Archives in Downtown Los Angeles. Without their help in
preserving and archiving LGBT history, none of this would have been
possible. We want to show our thanks to everyone who has supported ONE by offering
a special discount to anyone who would like to ride with us." says Jim Anzide
Out & About Tours is excited to unveil the first and only LGBT bus
tour in the Hollywood area that reveals, in an entertaining way, the
culturally rich, vital and often hidden LGBT history in the city of Los
Angeles and its relevance to our present-day gay experience. With an
open door to adults from the LGBT community and the friends who support
us, Out & About Tours will enlighten, educate and amuse everyone
who dares set foot on our wild ride. Please
visit their site at www.outandabout-tours.com to book your ticket. We
can't wait to roll with you!Out & About Tours

Thank you for reading our newsletter and for making our work possible. With your help, we are able to offer our Culture Series as a free event. We can continue to create exhibits such as "Our Struggle for Marriage Equality" and "A.J. Epstein's Queer Culture." We can keep our archivists working hard for you and your history. Especially in these challenging times, we need your support to continue preserving our past and securing our future. Please make a donation online today.
Sincerely,
Joseph R. Hawkins
