Sunday March 22nd brings the exciting Bach Birthday Gala at Gladwyne Presbyterian Church Darlene Kelsey (soloist), Nicole Lambert (flute) and Maestro Radu on piano and organ.
Eine kleine "soirée musicale," just like it used to be in the Castle of the Graf von Brandenburg, on a lazy Sunday afternoon some 300 years ago. Voice, flute, and organ with "live notes" celebrate Johann's 324th! Running Time: 90 Minutes - No intermission.

Mozart: Requiem
Ama Deus Ensemble
Soloists, Chorus and Orchestra
Friday, March 27, 8 PM
Daylesford Abbey
The March concerts continue on 3/27, 8 PM at the Kimmel Center with the stylistically authentic performance of Mozart's Requiem, followed by a repeat performance for our audience at Daylesford Abbey on 3/29, 6 PM!
A true Mozart feast, this concert features three different genres and spans 20 years of his life. This solo Motet (a Bach cantata tradition) was written by the young Wolfgang and dedicated to a young soprano he was hoping to marry. Sinfonia Concertante, the Symphony and solo concerto combined in one (with two solo instruments), was written in 1784. Finally, the famous Requiem written in the final days of his short life (never to be finished - completed from his sketches by his pupil, Sussmayer). What an unforgettable night this will be! Running Time: 2 Hours including one intermission.
